We were honored to welcome Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger to EBNER Industrial Furnaces Taicang during her recent working visit to China. Accompanied by an Austrian business delegation, the minister visited selected Austrian companies in the Shanghai region to gain insights into their activities, market environment and contribution to economic relations between Austria, Europe and China.

EBNER has been active in China for many years and is represented in Taicang with its own company, EBNER Industrial Furnaces (Taicang) Co., Ltd. As part of the EBNER GROUP, the site supports customers in the Chinese market with high-quality industrial furnace technologies, local production capabilities and comprehensive service expertise. This local presence enables EBNER to be close to its customers while bringing Austrian engineering know-how to one of the most important industrial regions in Asia.

During the visit, the delegation gained insights into EBNER’s production facilities and the company’s role as a technology partner for the metal industry. The exchange focused on the importance of innovation, international cooperation and sustainable industrial development. As an Austrian family-owned company with a strong global footprint, EBNER demonstrates how specialized technology companies can successfully contribute to industrial progress across markets and regions.

The visit also emphasized the significance of so-called “hidden champions” — highly specialized companies that are internationally successful in their fields and contribute substantially to Austria’s reputation as a technology and innovation location. With its advanced heat treatment solutions and decades of experience in industrial furnace construction, EBNER is part of this strong Austrian industrial network.

For EBNER, the visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase its activities in China and to highlight the importance of long-term partnerships, technological excellence and open dialogue in international business relations.
