CODE OF CONDUCT
for commercial partners of the EBNER GROUP.
The standards of conduct expected by the EBNER GROUP from its suppliers and other commercial partners are defined in this code of conduct. These standards reference the principles of the UN Global Compact.
Compliance with law
Our commercial partners are obligated to comply with the laws and statutes of applicable legal codes.
Environmental protection
Our commercial partners are obligated to comply with all current laws, regulations and internationally-recognized standards for environmental protection.
Furthermore, our commercial partners obligate themselves to employ resources economically, minimize environmental impacts and avoid creating hazards to both people and the environment.
Respect & integrity
On the basis of the European Convention on Human Rights and the Charter of the United Nations, our commercial partners obligate themselves to respect and support human rights as fundamental values. In particular, this applies to the prohibition of the use of child labor and forced labor, the prohibition of modern forms of slavery and human trafficking, equal treatment for all employees[1] and recognition of the rights to collective bargaining and representation.
Furthermore, our commercial partners obligate themselves to ensure the health and safety of their employees in the workplace.
Protection of information, intellectual property and data protection
Any type of information, as well as intellectual property, must be protected by our commercial partners in an appropriate manner. In particular, our commercial partners ensure that confidential information provided by EBNER GROUP remains secret, and is only used for the purposes specified in a contract.
Any processing of personal data from employees, customers and/or commercial partners of the EBNER GROUP (e.g. collection, application or storage) must obey all stipulations of data protection laws currently in force.
Fair competition
Our commercial partners obligate themselves to not breach any international or national antitrust statutes or regulations and to not limit free competition.
In particular, our commercial partners obligate themselves to refrain from entering agreements with other commercial partners or competitors of the EBNER GROUP that could influence or negatively affect free competition and to refrain from exchanging any and all information regarding confidential affairs of the EBNER GROUP such as the terms and conditions of sale, prices, costs, utilization, etc.
Money laundering
Our commercial partners obligate themselves to refrain from any activity related to money laundering and to comply with all legal regulations preventing the laundering of money.
Our commercial partners obligate themselves not to tolerate the practice of either active corruption (bribery, the offer and grant of unfair advantages) or passive corruption (the request and receipt of unfair advantages) in any shape or form, and to refrain from engaging in such practices.
Furthermore, our commercial partners obligate themselves to offer no gifts or other personal advantages to employees which would create the impression that a particular behavior or action was expected from the recipient in return.
Hospitality at a level in accordance with traditional business practices, as well as gifts without significant monetary value, are permissible
Supply chain
The commercial partners of the EBNER GROUP appropriately encourage and promote observance of this code of conduct by their own commercial partners.
